Salary: Scale 3, SP 5-6 (FTE: £28,521 - £28,929 / Actual: £24,391 - £24,740 per annum)
Contract Type: Fixed Term - until 31 August 2026, (local authority funded 1:1 pupil support). 36.82 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

We are looking for great people to join the founding team at The Compass School, a small school for pupils with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs. We are growing and seeking excellent teachers and support staff, especially those who can work with a new primary pupil joining us in Year 4. We want an inspirational Teaching Assistant passionate about SEN, with a creative, innovative approach. Join us to make a significant impact on the learning and life chances of our students.
We educate young people aged 7-16 with a range of Social Emotional and Mental Health needs, some on the Autistic Spectrum. Our catchment covers Havering and surrounding areas of East London and Essex. The school is part of a network of special schools including Sir Bobby Robson School, Ipswich; The Bridge School, Ipswich; Churchill Special School, Haverhill; and Sir Peter Hall School, Bury St Edmund’s. You will be supported by experienced special education leaders with ample training and professional development opportunities.
