To work under the direct instruction of the Senior Leadership Team, usually in the designated learning environment with a Teacher, to support access to learning for pupils and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may sometimes be undertaken outside the main teaching area. To share the school’s responsibility to support and promote the learning, personal development and well-being of all students.

General Responsibilities

The post holder will:

  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils and young people;
  • Work in accordance with professional practice, statutory and legal requirements, and the policies of Mountfield Heath School;
  • Take on specific tasks related to the day-to-day administration and organisation of the school;
  • Take responsibility for specific areas of work, reviewed annually within the performance management cycle and school improvement process;
  • Take on any additional responsibilities as determined from time to time.

  • English and Maths A-C

About us

Mountfield Heath School is a new independent special educational needs provision for 32 pupils aged 5-12. The successful candidate will work alongside Teachers, support staff, and therapists to deliver the curriculum and help nurture a therapeutic environment to meet needs including social, emotional, behavioural, communication, and learning difficulties.

This opportunity is in Robertsbridge, within commuting distance of Hastings, Royal Tunbridge Wells, and surrounding areas.
