Teaching Personnel are working closely with a specialist SEN school based in Ringwood that is seeking a number of experienced Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated team from September.
This welcoming and well-resourced school supports pupils aged 5–16 with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The school provides a structured and nurturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to thrive both academically and socially.
About the Role:
Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small group settings
Assisting with the implementation of individual learning plans (EHCPs)
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Working closely with class teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure consistency of care and learning
Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all learners
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Previous experience working with children with SEN (particularly ASD, Asperger’s, and MLD)
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
