About Us:Reed are currently working alongside a fantastic primary school in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, this school is dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for all our pupils. We are seeking a committed and skilled Behavioural Support Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to pupils who require additional assistance throughout the school day.

Role Overview:The Behavioural Support Assistant will work closely with pupils in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) who need extra support to manage their behaviour and engage effectively in their learning. This role involves both 1:1 support and small group work, tailored to meet the individual needs of the pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted behavioural support to pupils throughout the school day.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
  • Monitor and report on pupils' progress and behaviour.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with KS1 and KS2 pupils.
  • Strong behavioural management skills.
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting children's development.
