Northern Education Trust in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a dedicated support assistant to work within the academy/department, providing practical and learning support to students, including those with special needs, to help GCSE progression.
You will run small groups and offer 1:1 mentoring across Key Stages 3 and 4, under the direction of a class teacher/SENCO, contributing to students' welfare and academic achievement.
The successful candidate will work as part of the academy/department to support interventions with students who require additional mentoring to achieve GCSE. They will work with other small groups and individual students across Key Stage 3 and 4 as required. They will promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with special needs under the direction of a class teacher/SENCO.
