Wings School Notts in Newark are looking for a passionate and resilient full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday during school term time (38 weeks per year) and 1 week INSET.

This job will require you to assist the teacher in providing an engaging curriculum, supporting students with additional needs to reach their full potential, and fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have at least 3 months experience working in an education setting with students with Special Educational Needs, especially Autism (ASD), ADHD, and dyslexia/dyspraxia
  • Be able to tailor their skills to meet individual needs
  • Be kind, caring, and patient with children requiring specialist support
  • Be able to commute to Newark

We are an independent therapeutic residential community and day school in Nottinghamshire, providing social care and education for children aged 9 to 17 with SEMH needs, including autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia. Our facilities include purpose-built homes, extensive grounds, and a multidisciplinary team of clinical and educational professionals.
