Talocher School, part of Aspris Children’s Services, is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join the Education team in Monmouth. You will support male students in the classroom and in after-school activities, helping them engage and progress while building confidence and resilience.

The role emphasizes tailoring support for boys, fostering a love of learning through practical, Active, and inclusive experiences within a caring environment.

Teaching Assistant Position

Talocher School are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join our Education team.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work closely with some of our male students, providing tailored support to help them thrive both academically and socially. This role involves assisting in the classroom to ensure engagement and progress, as well as facilitating activities outside of lessons that appeal to boys’ interests and strengths. You will play a key part in building positive relationships, encouraging confidence, and promoting a love of learning through practical, active, and boy-friendly experiences.

Talocher School offers a broad and balanced curriculum, aligned to the Curriculum for Wales (CfW). Building trust, individual resilience, emotional regulation and communication skills is central to our ethos.
