Crown Street Primary School in Manchester, part of the Laurus Trust, seeks a friendly Teaching Assistant to support pupils with diverse learning needs. You will work alongside teachers on 1:1 or small-group tasks, helping pupils reach their potential and build confidence.

The role includes lunchtime supervision and duties in the After-School Club. We offer a comprehensive SEND provision and flexible working options where feasible.

Formación

• Minimum of a Level 3 Childcare / Early Years qualification - NCFE CACHE/NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, BTEC Level 3 Early Years, Apprenticeship Level 3 Early Years Educator or QTS.
• Experience working in an Early Years Setting is preferred.

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our growing team at Crown Street Primary School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in supporting pupils with a variety of learning needs. You will work alongside teachers to provide one-on-one or small group support, and empower pupils to reach their full potential. Due to Crown Street Primary's unique location, there is no parking on site. However, there are Pay & Display bays on the surrounding roads of Great Jackson Street, which is where Crown Street Primary School is located. Public transport is excellent, with Crown Street Primary School being a 7-minute walk from Deansgate Train Station and Deansgate-Castlefield Tram Stop. We also offer interest free loans for the purchase of annual travel tickets.

Here at the Laurus Trust we are able to provide a cutting-edge SEND provision that has a positive impact on our young people, and we are currently looking to recruit caring and dedicated individuals to join our SEND team. You will play a vital role in enhancing pupils progress whilst promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. A comprehensive offer of professional learning is in place and we ensure that all schools have designated work spaces for staff. A broad range of training in SEND is in place across all our schools focused on whole school SEND issues as well as specific training for SEND teams.

This position is contracted on a 30 hours per week Term Time only, 11.30am - 5.30pm - This includes support during the school day, support at lunchtime and then working in our After-School Club. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so.

To provide supervision of pupils during the lunchtime period both in the dining area and during playground activities. Key Skills and Experiences Minimum of a Level 3 Childcare / Early Years qualification - NCFE CACHE/NVQ Level 3 in Early Years, BTEC Level 3 Early Years, Apprenticeship Level 3 Early Years Educator or QTS. Good knowledge and understanding of play and how to create opportunities for a wide range of ages and interests. Previous experience of working in an Early Years Setting.
