Job description
We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a specialist setting in Maidenhead.
This is a long-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. You’ll play a key part in helping children with autism access learning, develop confidence, and thrive in a structured, supportive environment.
Key responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with autism
Help students engage with learning through visual aids and routine-based strategies
Assist with emotional regulation and behaviour management
Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver individual learning plans
Support during classroom transitions, lunch, and break times
Experience with SEN, ASD, or care settings is desirable
Calm, patient, and positive attitude
Strong communication skills and a passion for supporting children
Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
Available full-time and able to commit to a long-term role
