Job summary

Teach is recruiting enthusiastic, caring and experienced Supply Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across Macclesfield and the surrounding areas. You’ll have the flexibility to choose when and where you work, supporting children and young people in a variety of schools.

Role involves 1:1 or small group support, classroom assistance, helping with learning activities and routines, and building positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in classroom settings.
• SEND experience welcomed but not essential.
• Passionate about helping children succeed.
• Able to adapt to different school environments.

Supply Teaching Assistants – Macclesfield

Teach is currently recruiting enthusiastic, caring and experienced Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across Macclesfield and the surrounding areas.

We work with a wide range of schools, offering opportunities across mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist provisions and SEND settings.

What will you be doing?

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, your role will vary depending on the school and the needs of the pupils. You may:

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Provide classroom and learning support
• Assist teachers with learning activities and classroom routines
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
• Support pupils with additional learning needs
• Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Adapt your approach to meet individual needs and learning styles

SEND experience is welcomed

We are particularly interested in Teaching Assistants with experience supporting pupils with SEND, including:

• Autism / ASC
• ADHD
• Communication and interaction needs
• Complex learning needs
• Social, emotional and mental health needs
• Challenging behaviour

However, SEND experience isn't essential for every role. We also welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience who are looking to develop their career within education.

Experience in care, support work, youth work, childcare or other roles involving children and young people may be highly relevant.
