• Immediate availability for daily cover/full-time work 8:30am-16:00 pm Monday to Friday.
• Experience working with children/adults with learning difficulties is essential.
• Must understand safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with PMLD.
• Support implementation of individual learning programmes and care plans.
• Assist with personal care tasks including feeding and hygiene.

GSL Education is currently recruiting for a Support Worker (PMLD) - Teaching Assistant to join a leading special needs school in Wandsworth. This is a unique opportunity to support students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) in a warm, inclusive, and well-equipped setting.

About the School:

Located in a quaint part of Southwest London, the school caters to pupils with visual and sensory impairments and offers a supportive, state-of-the-art learning environment. The school features both modern classroom facilities and a dedicated residential area, creating an integrated experience for learners.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with PMLD and sensory impairments.
• Support the implementation of individual learning programmes and care plans.
• Use assistive technologies and sensory resources to engage learners.
• Work closely with therapists, teachers, and other support staff to meet the holistic needs of each student.
• Assist with personal care tasks where required, including feeding and hygiene.
• Foster a calm, safe, and nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Availability for immediate daily cover/full time work 8:30am-16:00 pm Monday to Friday
• have experience working with children and/or adults with learning difficulties including Physical Disabilities, ASC, PMLD
• Youth/Community work experience
• SEN experience
• Residential support/care worker
• Teaching/Learning support Assistance
