SEND Teaching Assistant

Waltham Forest

Pay between £ – £ per week. Dependent on experience

Connex Education Solutions is working alongside a mainstream community school based in Waltham Forest, seeking support staff to work with SEND pupils.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant (SEND TA), you will assist students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, explaining concepts, facilitating activities, and supporting their educational development. Key duties include managing behaviour challenges, assisting with exam arrangements, and preparing classroom resources.

We welcome passionate Teaching Assistants of all experience levels, from beginners to experienced professionals seeking new challenges.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a patient, caring, and encouraging manner
• Build rapport quickly with students
• Possess good literacy and numeracy skills
• Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour and SEND, including Autism, SEMH, and Communication Needs

We also encourage applications from those with experience as Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers.
