Job description

Support Young Learners in a Specialist SEMH School – Roles Available ASAP or from September!

We are currently partnering with a specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school in Camden, London, catering to students aged 5 to 17. The school is seeking enthusiastic, resilient, and committed support staff to join their dedicated team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners.

About the Role:

  • Hours: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday

  • Start Date: ASAP or September 2024

  • Contract: Remainder of the 2024–25 academic year, with potential to continue

  • Pay: Minimum £105 per day

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom activities under the direction of the class teacher

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging learning tasks

  • Work collaboratively with staff to maintain a positive and inclusive environment

  • Help students manage their emotions, build confidence, and develop social skills

  • Foster a love of learning and support individual progress

What We’re Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with additional needs

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Confidence and resilience in managing behaviour and supporting emotional development

  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach

  • Commitment to working onsite in Camden daily

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable – 12+ months abroad in the last 10 years)

  • Valid right to work in the UK

  • Reliable commute to Camden
