Job summary

St Mary’s Horsforth Catholic Voluntary Academy in Leeds seeks a teaching assistant to join our KS2 team (Years 5 & 6). The post is permanent, part-time, term time only, with 27.5 teaching hours and 2.5 hours play/lunch time support.

You must be a practising Catholic or supportive of the Catholic ethos, with warm, empathetic approach and strong English and maths skills. DBS disclosed and safeguarding duties apply.

Responsibilities

• Join our Key Stage 2 team (Years 5 & 6) at St Mary’s Horsforth Catholic Voluntary Academy.
• Provide teaching assistant support during 27.5 hours and 2.5 hours of play/lunch time.
• Support pupils to make rapid progress and contribute to high standards of attainment.
• Collaborate with staff, parents and outside agencies while maintaining safeguarding.

We are looking for an inspirational and creative teaching assistant to become a member of our friendly and hardworking team. You will work within key stage 2 in the first instance, years 5 & 6.
