What does a Teaching Assistant do?

As a TA, you’ll play a vital role in supporting teachers and pupils across the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, including those with additional needs

Helping with classroom activities, organisation, and behaviour management

Preparing learning materials and resources

Assisting during lessons, break times, and transitions

You may be placed in different year groups depending on the school’s needs, offering great exposure to working with a variety of age ranges.
