Job summary

Hanbury Primary School is seeking an experienced HLTA to cover and teach whole classes and to organise lunchtime activities. The post involves line managing support staff and supporting the team to uphold our inclusive ethos.

First Aid at Work is advantageous. The role is Band E SCP 18–25, with pro rata salary and 32.5 hours per week during term time.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting primary-aged learners in a school setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with families and staff.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of behaviour and inclusivity.

Job description

Required to start as soon as possible. Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of our children? Do you want to work in a nurturing and inclusive school, where we care about every child and member of staff? If so, the children of Hanbury Primary School are looking for you! We are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated HLTA. As part of the role, you will be expected to cover and teach whole classes. Another important aspect of this role, is to organise activities at lunchtime, and line manage support staff during this period. First Aid at Work qualification would be an advantage. Please note candidates will be observed working with children as part of the recruitment process. Band E SCP 18 - 25 (£32,578 - £37,563) pro rata (Actual salary £25,093 - £29,187), This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check.
