Northgate High School in Ipswich is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Assistant to help students with additional needs engage with learning and build resilience.
You will work with teaching staff to monitor progress, applying trauma-informed approaches and zones of regulation, Thrive strategies as appropriate.
The role is fixed-term until 21 July 2027, term-time plus staff training days, offering on-site facilities, parking, and access to pension schemes.

We need someone who can work alongside students with additional needs, social and emotional as well as special needs, in order to build resilience and develop strategies to engage with learning.
We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with experience of trauma informed practice, thrive or zones of regulation.
This is a fixed term contract that will end 21st July 2027.
The main responsibility of this role is to support the progress of students with special educational needs in consultation with teaching staff.

The core working hours are up to 30.41hpw, 39 weeks a year (this is term time plus 5 staff training days)
