Job summary

NextGen Teachers is recruiting Supply Teaching Assistants to support primary and secondary schools across Horsham and the surrounding areas from September 2026.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant you may provide classroom support, 1:1 assistance, or small-group interventions across different year groups and settings, including SEND, ASC, ADHD and SEMH.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for supporting SEND, ASC, ADHD or SEMH where needed.

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils across different schools, year groups and learning environments.

Depending on the assignment, you could be providing classroom support, working 1:1 with a pupil or delivering small-group interventions.

Many of our schools support pupils withSEND, Autism (ASC), ADHD and SEMH, so this is an excellent opportunity to develop your experience across a range of educational settings.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teachers with classroom learning
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
• Helping pupils access the curriculum
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
• Helping create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Working alongside teachers and wider school staff

Experience supportingSEND, Autism, ADHD or SEMHis desirable but not essential.
