The position is 31 hours per week, term time plus 1 inset week, Monday to Friday, 8:20am–3:15pm, finishing 2:10pm on Wednesdays. Salary £22,893 per annum (full-time equivalent £29,653).

Leigh Academy Blackheath are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their established team!

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting students' learning and development, assisting teachers in the classroom, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

In this role, you will support students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, help manage classroom behaviour to maintain a productive atmosphere, and provide general administrative support to the teaching staff.

We're looking for someone with a passion for education and working with young people. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as are patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude. While prior experience in a school setting is a plus, it is not essential.

This is a permanent opportunity, and offers an actual salary of £22,893 per annum (£29,653 full-time equivalent). Working 31 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week inset, Monday - Friday, 8:20am - 3:15pm with a 2:10pm finish on a Wednesday.
