Job summary

Great Totham Primary School invites applications for a part-time Teaching Assistant role to support our Year 5 class for five mornings each week, totaling 15 hours. The post starts as soon as possible in Autumn 2026.

The successful candidate should be an experienced Teaching Assistant with good English and mathematics qualifications, and be flexible with a calm, positive outlook. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant is preferred.
• Strong English and mathematics qualifications are desirable.
• Ability to be flexible and maintain a calm, positive approach.

Responsibilities

• Support the Year 5 teaching team in class activities.
• Assist pupils with learning tasks and monitor progress.
• Assist with classroom routines and behaviour management as needed.
