Job summary

Wilby Church of England Primary School in Eye, Suffolk is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support classroom learning and supervise lunch times. The role is 17.5 hours per week, with a fixed-term contract for 10 months.

You will assist in teaching and learning, work with small groups of pupils, and be a calm, caring member of a friendly school community committed to safeguarding and professional development.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Teaching Assistant qualifications preferred but not essential.
• Experience working with children.
• Good team player.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.

Working pattern

Part time: 17.5 hours per week, working from 11.45am straight through to 3.15pm.

Contract type

Fixed term - 10 months

Hourly rate

£12.85 per hour

• A good standard of English and Maths (GCSE grade 4 or above or equivalent)
• Teaching Assistant qualifications (Preferred but not essential)
• Experience with working with children

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

You will assist in supervising lunch times and support teaching and learning in the classroom and work with small groups of pupils. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, is flexible and caring and is keen to play an active role in our school community.
