Job summary

Kenton Primary School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for individual pupils, including those with SEND, within a supportive, caring school environment.

The role focuses on building positive relationships, safeguarding, and helping children access learning across a range of abilities, with opportunities to support small groups when possible.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, especially those with SEND (desirable).
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
  • Friendly, caring, approachable and patient demeanor.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Calm and supportive presence around pupils.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role involves working closely with the class teacher to provide one-to-one support for individual pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and when possible, supporting small groups across a range of abilities and curriculum areas.
