GSL Education - Newcastle is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Stockton-on-Tees, supporting pupils in their learning and helping them reach their full potential within the classroom.
You will collaborate with teachers to provide 1:1 support and small-group interventions, assist with lesson preparation, promote positive behaviour, and help maintain an inclusive, safe learning environment in line with safeguarding and DBS requirements.
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £90 £120 per day (dependent on experience)

A welcoming and supportive school in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils in their learning and helping them achieve their full potential within the classroom.
The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
Delivering targeted interventions to support pupil progress.
Promoting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs where required.
Encouraging pupil confidence, independence and participation.
Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Have previous experience working with children or young people.
Be patient, adaptable and supportive in approach.
Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
Be confident supporting pupils with varying abilities and needs.
Have experience supporting SEND pupils (desirable).
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
Have a fully checkable work history.
