Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in Dover. The role focuses on supporting children with SEN, providing 1:1 and small-group assistance, and helping learners overcome barriers to progress.

You will work closely with class teachers to support social, emotional, and academic development within an inclusive learning environment. DBS check is required or to be obtained.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable.
• Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
• Patient, nurturing and understanding.
• Confident supporting pupils with a range of needs.
• Able to build positive relationships with children.
• Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS, or is willing to obtain one.

Teaching Assistant - Dover

We are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Dover who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team.

Although the school is a mainstream Primary setting, they have a high level of SEN needs across the school, making this an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them overcome barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team, providing both classroom and targeted support to pupils.
