A leading company seeks a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs in a specialist SEMH school. We are looking for a resilient, compassionate and enthusiasticTeaching Assistantto join our dedicated team from September. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs – helping them access learning, build trust, and reach their full potential.
The School is a specialist SEMH provision for students aged 10–16, based in Devizes. They provide a supportive, structured and nurturing environment where every pupil is given the chance to achieve, grow in confidence, and develop the tools they need for life beyond the classroom.
Your Role Will Involve:
Supporting pupils in and out of the classroom, both academically and emotionally
Working closely with class teachers and the wider pastoral team to deliver tailored learning and behaviour strategies
Helping pupils to develop confidence, independence, and self-regulation skills
Contributing to a safe, respectful and engaging learning environment
Modelling positive relationships and supporting pupils through challenges
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience of working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN or other behavioural difficulties
Demonstrates patience, empathy and strong communication skills
Can remain calm and positive under pressure
Is able to build trusting, respectful relationships with pupils and colleagues
Has a good level of literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
