Witherslack Group is seeking Teaching Assistants at Moorland Campus in Chorley and Wood Campus in Leyland. You’ll help children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and SEMH to learn, grow, and gain confidence in a supportive, well-resourced environment.

Our Teaching Assistants are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There’s lots of ups and downs, and to some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories and whilst they may seem small on the surface, they add up to make a big difference.

One of the best environments in SEND Westmorland School are very proud of Wood campus, based in Leyland which is their own secondary site catering primarily for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Speech, Language, and Communication needs. The school provides education for up to 40 pupils aged 11 to 16 on a purpose built site catering for a full curriculum that also includes a farm, land based studies and Forest school. This is on an exceptional rural site, which allows pupils to progress in a relaxing and nurturing environment.
