Job summary

Park School in the UK is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students with autism and additional learning needs. You will work closely with teachers, therapists and a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Starting October 2026, you will help pupils develop independent learning skills, implement IEPs and BSPs, and foster communication, confidence and wellbeing while adhering to safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths Level 4/C (or equivalent) required.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN is desirable.
• Willing to engage in training and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support students one-to-one and in small groups to aid learning.
• Deliver creative, engaging and personalised learning experiences.
• Encourage communication, confidence, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Help implement IEPs, BSPs and learning plans.
• Build positive relationships to help pupils feel safe and valued.
• Prepare learning resources and adapt activities to needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists and multidisciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do

• Support students on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and within the classroom to help them engage in learning and achieve their individual goals.
• Work alongside teachers to deliver creative, engaging and personalised learning experiences.
• Encourage students' communication, confidence, emotional wellbeing and independence.
• Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs), Communication Profiles and personalised learning strategies.
• Create positive, trusting relationships that help students feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
• Prepare learning resources and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to achieve the very best outcomes.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people.
