Job summary

Park School in Chipping Norton is seeking a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team. You will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve meaningful outcomes in an inclusive environment.

Working with teachers and a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality education, support personalised learning programmes and help pupils thrive academically and personally. Start: October 2026. UK applicants only; no sponsorship.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/Level 4 or above) or equivalent.
• Experience working with children with autism and/or additional learning needs.
• Experience planning and delivering learning activities or lessons.
• Excellent communication, organisation and IT skills with the ability to build positive relationships.
• The ability to adapt learning to individual pupils whilst promoting independence, confidence and achievement.
• Full UK driving licence is required

Responsibilities

• Supporting teachers by planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons and learning activities, including covering lessons when required.
• Delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning to meet the individual needs of pupils.
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing detailed feedback to teachers to support future learning.
• Promoting positive behaviour, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing through consistent support and encouragement.
• Supporting the development of individual education plans, behaviour support strategies and other pupil documentation.
• Mentoring and supporting Teaching Assistants while working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider school team.
