Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking flexible, enthusiastic teaching assistants for full-time roles in Barnet. Roles start in October 2026 in both primary and secondary settings. Prior experience with children is not essential; qualifications or degrees are welcome, with SEN experience advantageous.

Excellent numeracy and literacy skills are required. TimePlan offers regular training, competitive pay and strong placement support. DBS checks and safeguarding commitments are standard.

Teaching Assistant-Barnet

TimePlan Education is currently looking for flexible and enthusiastic candidates for full-time teaching assistant roles in several excellent schools in Barnet (and surrounding areas). These rewarding and varied full-time teaching assistant roles will start in October 2026.

• Previous experience working with children is not essential for the teaching assistant roles in Barnet, although other relevant experience (for example in dance, drama, sports, youth work or arts) would be advantageous, as would experience supporting children or adults with SEN.
• You should ideally hold either a relevant teaching assistant qualification (such as a CACHE Level 2 or 3) or a university degree (although this does not necessarily need to relate to childcare or education). Roles for university graduates and Level 3 qualified teaching assistants are available in both primary and secondary settings in Barnet. However experience working with children in other environments (such as in youth groups, volunteering or in a personal capacity) will also be considered.
