Job summary

PK Education Limited is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a SEND school in Chesterfield. You will work closely with the class teacher to support learners across the curriculum and help each pupil reach their potential.

The role focuses on 1:1 and small group support, assisting with reading, writing and other classwork while maintaining a safe, nurturing environment. Prior TA experience and a passion for inclusive education are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant with primary or SEND pupils.
• Experience supporting children with special educational needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning activities alongside the class teacher.
• Support reading, writing and core classwork.
• Lead targeted interventions to support development.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support.
• Assist with behaviour management in a nurturing way.
