Job summary

St Mary’s CE Primary School Hawkshaw is seeking an EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a mixed Pre School and Reception class. The role runs Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons, with potential extended lunch cover, starting as soon as possible after appointment.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team, support SEND pupils in small groups and one-to-one, and bring resilience, creativity and professionalism to daily classroom life.

EYFS Teaching Assistant

Grade: TA 2, Grade 6, SCP 6

School: St Mary’s CE Primary School, Hawkshaw

Working pattern: Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 12.10pm and 1.20pm – 3.25pm, (with the option to work and additional 35 minutes each day, covering half of lunch time.)

Closing date: Monday 5th October 2026 at 10.00am

Start date: As soon as possible after appointment
