Job description

Start Date: 01/09/2025

Salary: Grade 10, £25,992 - £27,269 FTE per annum (Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £16,616.41 – £17,432.78 p.a.)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 27.5 per week (08.45am – 3.15 pm Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid lunchbreak), term time only to include INSET days (39 weeks)

The Role:

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children’s learning in a vibrant and nurturing environment where every child is supported to succeed.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
  • Have knowledge of the EYFS and/or Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Be flexible, resourceful, and able to work well within a team
  • Have a positive, determined attitude and be a task-finisher
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, promoting a calm and structured environment
  • Be committed to the progress and wellbeing of every pupil
  • Be ambitious about their own professional development and eager to keep learning
  • Use good ICT skills to support learning and communication
  • Bring a good sense of humour and a fun, caring approach

Experience supporting learning in a school or classroom environment is desirable but not essential — we welcome applications from candidates with voluntary experience or transferable skills from other settings.

You will receive training and ongoing support to develop your skills and confidence in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
