Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools in Bridport

Location: Bridport, Dorset

Contract: Flexible (Full-time or Part-time)

Salary: £13.75-14.50

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Bridport. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in various school settings, assisting teachers in delivering high-quality education and creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering lessons to small groups and individual students.
  • Provide support for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism and Global Delay.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students in building their confidence and achieving their potential.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to monitor progress and adapt learning activities.
  • Foster emotional and social development in the classroom.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning needs and provide tailored support.
  • A calm, patient, and positive approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in education (desirable, but not essential).
