Qualifications

  • Preferably hold a Level 3 in supporting and learning.
  • Experience working in educational settings within the last 2 years.

Job Description

Teaching Assistant

Area: B93, Birmingham

Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:30 - 3:30

Salary: £100 - £110 per day

Start date: ASAP

Monarch education, part of affinity workforce, are working closely with the oldest know school in the village of Knowle to find a Teaching assistant to work in year 5 to support a child 1:1 with core curriculum learning in the morning and then will be working in year 1 in the afternoons.

This school is a Christian-based school has always been at the very heart of this thriving community-minded village.

This is a full-time, long-term role, Monday to Friday to start ASAP until the end of the academic year with potential to extend to next.

They are looking for someone who as a positive outlook on life, confident with leading small groups and is who is child centred and always willing to go the extra mile for any children in their care and to able to work well within a team.

Qualifications And Experience

  • (Preferably) hold a level 3 in supporting and learning or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting that we can reference in the last 2 years
  • Able to control challenging behaviour
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEND practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.

The school has a supportive team of staff creating a caring atmosphere around the school, with up to date educational technology and nearby public transport routes and onsite parking available on school site.
