Montgomery Primary Academy is an outstanding school led by an ambitious and dedicated Principle, Jasmine Woodward, who has been with the school for over 10 years. She has established a dedicated, enthusiastic and talented team of staff where everyone is committed to ensuring all children at Montgomery achieve their very best academically through excellent teaching and a well-crafted, ambitious curriculum. This has seen the school graded ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted and in excess of 91% of KS2 children meeting the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths. We are now looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our team.

Your new role
At the heart of our curriculum is our belief that physical and mental well being is vital. Pupils access specialist PE provision alongside a vast array of additional sporting clubs and competitions. We have been awarded the Gold Artsmark in recognition of our enriched curriculum. We are looking for a teaching assistant to work in partnership with teachers to improve the learning and attainment of students while also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. The role provides support to students so that they can access the curriculum, participate in learning and experience a sense of achievement. This role is vital in supporting our students and helping them achieve their potential.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will have a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship or equivalent or willingness to work towards this qualification with an understanding of a range of pupil’s learning needs. You will have patience in interactions with a variety of students and situations, with a calm demeanour and have empathy to understand the needs and challenges of students and be able to relate to them on a personal level. You will also be somebody who can engage and enthuse students to want to learn.
