Supply Teaching Assistants - Birmingham

Teach is currently recruiting enthusiastic, caring and experienced teaching assistants to work on a supply basis across Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

If you're passionate about supporting children and young people and want the flexibility to choose when and where you work, we'd love to hear from you.

We work with a wide range of schools, offering opportunities across mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist provisions and SEND settings.

What will you be doing?

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Provide classroom and learning support
• Assist teachers with learning activities and classroom routines
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement
• Support pupils with additional learning needs
• Help pupils develop their confidence, independence and social skills
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Adapt your approach to meet individual needs and learning styles

SEND experience is welcomed

We are particularly interested in teaching assistants with experience supporting pupils with SEND, including:

• Autism / ASC
• ADHD
• Communication and interaction needs
• Complex learning needs
• Social, emotional and mental health needs
• Challenging behaviour

However, SEND experience isn't essential for every role. We also welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience who are looking to develop their career within education.

Experience in care, support work, youth work, childcare or other roles involving children and young people may be highly relevant.
