Job summary

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated classroom support assistant for The Good Shepherd Catholic Primary, Arnold, to assist teachers across all age groups.

You will work 13 hours per week during term time, supporting learning in 1:1 settings and small groups, helping with planning and intervention activities.

This fixed-term role runs to 25 September 2027 and offers a welcoming team, pension, CPD opportunities, and staff discounts.

The Good Shepherd Catholic Primary, Arnold is a Primary school and is located in Woodthorpe, Nottingham. We are an Ofsted-rated 'Good' school. We are part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, bringing together the 35 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.

You will have a talent for engaging children and will be required to work flexibly across all age groups and abilities.

Role overview

You will support the work of our teachers in this varied role and duties include working in 1:1 situations, leading small groups and providing general classroom support. Working with children who have varying needs, from SEN to behavioural and emotional needs, you will encourage the acceptance and inclusion of all children. There will be opportunities to develop your career within the school which allows you to make a valued contribution to our children's learning. This is a fixed term role starting as soon as possible up to 25 September 2027. You will be working for 13 hours per week, term time only.

Compensation

• A competitive salary: £7,514 - £7,752 per annum (OLOL Band 2, NJC Points 3 - 5).
