Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: WA14, Altrincham
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and welcoming mainstream primary school in the WA14 area of Altrincham. This Teaching Assistant role is to start as soon as possible and is full-time and long-term, offering consistency and opportunity for progression within the school.

Initially, the Teaching Assistant will be supporting a Year 3 class in Lower KS2, providing both general classroom assistance and targeted SEND support for pupils who require additional help. From September, the successful Teaching Assistant will move into a new phase of support-either in KS1 or KS2, or within the school's small SEN class, depending on experience and suitability.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in a nurturing, inclusive environment and is looking to grow within a school that values collaboration, support, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
* Provide general support in a Lower KS2 classroom (Year 3)
* Deliver tailored support to pupils with additional needs
* Help with differentiated learning tasks and classroom organisation
* Support learning and emotional regulation during lessons and transitions
* Work closely with the class teacher and SEND staff
* Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
* Be calm, committed, and adaptable
* Have experience in mainstream or SEND settings
* Be confident supporting pupils with mild to moderate additional needs
* Be a great communicator and team player
* Be passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential

Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
* References covering the last 2-3 years
* Experience working with children, particularly in primary or SEND roles
