Job summary

Clarkville Te Kura ki Waimātao invites a dedicated Year 1/2 teacher to join a high-performing, collaborative team. You will teach in the Year 1/2 space, partner with two other teachers, and support around 48 ākonga while modelling growth mindset and strong community connections.

The role emphasizes strong literacy, maths, inquiry programmes and culturally responsive practice within our authentic local curriculum. A supportive kura environment is offered.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong literacy and numeracy teaching knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
  • Experience working in collaborative, inquiry-based learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Year 1/2 within a collaborative learning space with two other teachers.
  • Develop and implement curriculum across core areas including literacy, numeracy, science and arts.
  • Foster a growth mindset and strong relationships with ākonga and whānau.

We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our highly collaborative teaching team. You will teach in our Year 1/2 learning space, work with two other teachers and approximately 48 ākonga. The successful applicant will be able to build effective relationships with ākonga and whānau and model a growth mindset.

Your knowledge of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment will ensure the best possible outcomes for ākonga in your learning space. We have strong structured literacy, mathematics and inquiry programmes that ensure our ākonga have the very best learning opportunities and achieve highly. Strengths in implementing The Writing Revolution 2.0 and Maths No Problem! approaches would be an advantage.
