Hulme Hall Grammar School in Stockport is seeking a committed Teacher of Spanish for a part-time maternity cover role (0.6 FTE), Monday to Wednesday, initially until July 2027. The successful candidate will teach Spanish at Key Stage 3 and GCSE Spanish at Key Stage 4, with the possibility of teaching French.

The Governors are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Spanish. The ability to also teach French would be an advantage.
The position is a part-time (0.6 FTE), maternity cover post, working Monday – Wednesday, initially until July 2027.
The Teacher is responsible to the Assistant Head (Curriculum) and, ultimately, the Headmaster.
Provide pupils with a role model for standards of interpersonal and professional conduct.
Ensure that the quality of teaching, learning and behaviour in lessons and tutor time is of the highest possible standard.
Assess and report on pupil progress and give clear, constructive feedback which will assist each pupil to raise their achievement and reach their goals.
Contribute to the raising of achievement in the subject and year teams. This will also include responsibility for the Department Development Plan and creating or adapting schemes of work.
Implement all aspects of the school’s policies and procedures, including relating to safeguarding.
Contribute to the school’s process of self-evaluation.
Promote the activities of the department both internally and externally.
Take responsibility for her/his own professional development, using the outcomes to improve teaching and learning.
Contribute to pupils’ wider development in the school.
Carry out any other duties which may reasonably be required by the Senior Leadership Team.
