Job summary

Notre Dame School seeks a Sociology Teacher for a maternity cover in the Senior School. The role supports A-level preparation and the Sixth Form, contributing to an excellent Social Sciences provision and a busy schedule of extracurricular activities.

The successful candidate will be an energetic, inspiring teacher with a passion for engaging young people in Sociology or Social Sciences. 19 periods per week on a 1-year contract, part-time, with a competitive salary and industry-leading benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or eligible via QTS.
• Experience teaching Sociology or Social Sciences at secondary level.
• Ability to teach up to A-level in Sociology.

Our Academic and Extra Curricular Social Sciences plays a fundamental role in our Sixth form. Our A-level Grades have been excellent, and we are delighted that students meet and exceed their projected grades in the subject. We have comprehensive facilities and materials, complementary success in Psychology and an impressive schedule of extracurricular activities. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who will play a crucial role in teaching and fostering success in the subject. You will be an accomplished and inspiring Sociology or Social Sciences Teacher who has energy, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for enthusing a love of learning in young people.
