Job summary

TailorEDucation is seeking a Sociology Teacher to join a Medway partner school on a 0.6 FTE maternity cover starting after October half term. The role involves teaching Year 10 and Year 12, delivering engaging, well-planned lessons.

You should have QTS or equivalent, extensive sociology experience at secondary level, and a passion for the subject. The role offers competitive daily pay (£150-£240) and support from a dedicated consultant team.

About the Role and Key Responsibilities

TailorEDucation is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Sociology Teacher to join one of our partner schools Medway on a 0.6 FTE maternity cover contract, starting after the October half term.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Sociology to Year 10 and Year 12 students, delivering engaging and well-planned lessons that support pupils to develop their knowledge, understanding and critical thinking skills.

You will be expected to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, monitor pupil progress and contribute to the wider life of the department and school.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sociology Teacher looking for a part-time teaching position within a supportive school environment.
