Job description

Job Title: Science Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic, engaging, creative, and proactive Science Teacher to join our well-established and friendly department. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching students of all abilities and supporting them to reach their academic potential.

Responsibilities:

1. Teach KS3 and KS4 Science, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, preferably within your specialism.
2. Deliver lessons based on our comprehensive schemes of work, utilizing shared resources.
3. Contribute to the pastoral care of a Mentor group and undertake additional pastoral responsibilities as appropriate.

Department Resources and Environment:

• Access to 6 modern laboratories, a dedicated science theory classroom, and a well-equipped prep room with experienced technicians.
• Use of 3 computer rooms for lessons.
• Each teacher is provided with a staff laptop and a visualiser.

Professional Development: We value CPD opportunities and support staff attendance at courses, including residential programs at the National STEM Centre in York.
