Job summary

The Wavell School in Farnborough is seeking a dynamic Science teacher to join our high-performing Science Faculty. The post offers opportunities for a TLR for the right candidate and welcomes applications from ECTs.

The position is required from September 2027 in a calm, orderly environment with well-established routines, and a strong team of experienced technicians and resources. Science is a highly successful subject here, with results well above national averages and a supportive department

Qualifications

• Excellent subject knowledge and ability to teach science to GCSE level.
• Resilient and resourceful classroom practitioner.
• Sets high standard and inspires students to achieve exam success.

Responsibilities

• Teach Science across KS3/GCSE where possible; contribute to Science department
• Deliver engaging lessons that promote high levels of student engagement and attainment
• Work collaboratively within the Science team to maintain strong routines and standards

Science is a highly successful subjectat The Wavell School. Results are well above the national average with over 80%of students gaining at least two standard passes in Science and with 30% ofstudents studying three separate Sciences. The Science Faculty occupiesseven modern laboratories with a preparation room, staff room and resourcesareas. The team is ably supported by highly experienced technicians. There is avery strong and supportive team spirit.
