As our popular, oversubscribed school continues to grow, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate of exceptional ability to join our RS & Social Sciences team.
Towers School and Sixth Form Centre is looking for a Teacher of Religious Studies who can teach from KS3 to KS5, starting in April 2023.
Our students follow the AQA GCSE Religious Studies specification, with 50% of the course focusing on Christianity and Buddhism, and the remaining 50% on philosophical and ethical themes. Religious Studies is an optional GCSE subject.
At KS5, students undertake the Eduqas GCE in Religious Studies.
Knowledge booklets are created and shared within departments to ensure purposeful and consistent lessons. Experience in teaching A-level Theology, Ethics, and Philosophy is desirable but not essential.
This is a full-time fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent. We welcome applications from experienced teachers, Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and candidates with Religious Studies degrees.
