Surrey Maths School (SuMS) is a specialist 16-19 Maths School located in Guildford, opened in September 2024. It serves students across the South East, aiming to be a hub of excellence in mathematical sciences. Currently, we have 85 students in Year 12 from 65 schools.
We seek a creative, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic physics teacher to join us in September 2025. Our environment allows for curriculum development focused on deepening students' understanding, supported by their solid maths skills.
We foster collaboration through team planning meetings, encouraging shared approaches, concepts, and resources. We value every voice and actively promote equity and diversity in our lessons.
The role is flexible, advertised as 0.5-1.0 FTE, and we welcome discussions about different preferences or teaching other subjects within the school.
