Job summary

Biddick Academy seeks a dynamic Teacher of PE for a fixed-term maternity cover, 0.8 FTE on the MPS/UPS scale. Applications welcome from experienced and newly qualified teachers.

The post may be increased to 1.0 FTE for an exceptional candidate; hold QTS and a relevant degree; strong IT skills are essential. The academy is part of the North East Learning Trust and values excellence and safeguarding.

The role

Biddick Academy seeks to appoint a dynamic and highly motivated Teacher of PE who is committed to academic excellence and high classroom standards. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position required as soon as possible. The post is offered at 0.8 FTE on the MPS/UPS scale. A 1.0 FTE contract would be considered for an exceptional candidate.

Requirements

• Hold QTS qualification and a first degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Have experience of teaching the relevant subject area at both KS3 and KS4.
• Possess excellent IT skills.
• Be proactive and self-motivated.
• Have a flexible approach to work.
