About the role
As a Teacher of Maths, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that help develop students’ mathematical knowledge and understanding. You will work closely with subject leaders to ensure the curriculum is rich, diverse, and accessible, while also supporting students’ progress through regular assessments and evaluations. You will play an integral role in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, helping to raise academic standards across the school. Your pastoral involvement will also be key as you collaborate with the Head of Character Development and Wellbeing to provide excellent care and support for students. Additionally, you will contribute to the broader school community, supporting co-curricular activities, and fulfilling your duties within the whole school rota. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on students’ learning and development in an inclusive and vibrant educational setting.
This is a permanent, full-time role with a start date in September 2025.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a qualified, passionate, and dynamic teacher with a strong academic background in Maths and a commitment to driving high standards. You will possess a good university degree, Qualified Teacher Status, and a PGCE or equivalent. You should have experience teaching Maths, with excellent classroom management and organisational skills. You will be an effective communicator, able to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. A flexible, solution-focused attitude is essential, along with the ability to adapt to the demands of a busy independent school. You should be a role model, with high expectations for student achievement and behaviour, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
