Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council in Perth is seeking a Mathematics teacher for Perth Academy to join the Mathematics department. You will teach assigned classes with preparation and correction, and contribute to curriculum development under the guidance of the Principal Teacher.

You will record and report on pupil progress, prepare pupils for exams, provide guidance, and support health, welfare and safeguarding. A collaborative, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience and expertise in teaching differentiated BGE levels 1-3 maths, in addition to the standard senior phase curriculum and qualifications would be an advantage.
  • GTCS registration is required.

  • Assisting, recording and reporting on the work of pupils.
  • Preparing pupils for examinations and assisting with their administration.

  • Promoting and safeguarding the health, welfare and safety of pupils including fulfilling the role of Home Room Tutor.
  • Working in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.
  • Undertaking appropriate and agreed continuing professional development.
  • Participating in issues related to school planning, raising achievement and individual review.

You have the opportunity to join our Mathematics department as a Mathematics teacher.
