Description du poste

Principal Teacher, Abernethy Primary School - PKC14311

Working within Perth & Kinross Council is more than a job, it's about being part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of all we do and provides opportunities to make a real difference by enhancing every life we touch.

We currently have the following opportunity:

Principal Teacher - PKC14311

Abernethy Primary School

Abernethy Primary School is looking for an inspiring, ambitious and dynamic Principal Teacher to join our dedicated team. Our school is committed to providing a high standard of learning with a strong emphasis on raising attainment and supporting all learners to achieve.

The school is located in the village of Abernethy, a short 16 minute drive from Perth. Our school is nondenominational and caters for mainstream classes (some composite) from P1-7 along with a nursery for 3-5 year olds.

Our values are simple: Respectful and Responsible, in all we do. Our vision is driven by what we all want for our learners: to be successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. All staff who work in our spaces are responsible for modelling and 'living' our values and vision.

Our school is at the heart of a close-knit village where we pride ourselves in supporting and contributing to the community.

We have the luxury of safe and varied opportunities for outdoor play and learning in our school grounds, with grass, tree space, hard surface for playground games and a MUGA. We are committed to using the school grounds and surrounding area to enhance learning and teaching.

As Principal Teacher of this well regarded and thriving school, you will be part of the school leadership team with responsibility for the development, delivery and monitoring of high-quality learning and teaching, which meets the needs of all learners. You will also be expected to lead quality assurance activities to plan, develop and monitor the continuous improvement of the school, in line with local and national objectives.

Working in partnership with all stakeholders, you will take responsibility for contributing towards our inclusive learning environment to ensure every child and family continues to feel valued.

This post includes a class teaching commitment currently at the P4/5 stage.

Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship for this post.
